Due to the Balcony Falls to Skimmer Transmission Line Reconstruction Project, the following trails and shelters will be impacted by the current and upcoming construction activities.

%3Ali style=”margin-left: 0.5in;”%3AOverhead conductor line removal will be occurring within the transmission line right-of-way adjacent to areas accessible from Forest Service Road 1800 and Bear Tolley Road, November through December 9, 2024. Public users are advised to use caution in the vicinity of these roads and to avoid the transmission line right-of-way during this time.%3A/li%3A

Public users may hear construction noise from vehicles and equipment in the vicinity. %3A/li%3A

Dominion will be placing signs at the perimeters of work areas cautioning public users to keep out and safety fencing will be placed near trail crossings. Contractor personnel will be at both sides of the transmission line right-of-way to halt trail users and allow passage when it is safe to do so, anticipated to be no longer than 15 minutes at a time.
