The Forest Service has been able to repair most water system leaks at Lake Sherando Recreation Area.
Water has been restored to all Camping Loops and Group Camping shower house facilities, with exception of Upper A Loop, Sites A22-A33, which does not have a functioning restroom or potable water. However, all sites are within walking distance to A Loop’s shower house and potable hydrants.
The RV Fill Station is Open.
The Beach Bathhouse, with changing facilities, will remain closed for now. Beachgoers are encouraged to come prepared to swim.
